About Me

My first word was “light.” The importance of one’s first word does not often last beyond the delight of parents and its record in a baby book stored in the back of a linen closet. For me, however, there is no more essential word. Light changes perspective and mood. It shifts shape and shade. It symbolizes hope. I need different perspective, an often brighter mood, a softer or sharper shape, a new shade, and most of all, I need hope. And, in some way, I desire to take that light and share it with others. I suppose photography is one way I am attempting to do that.
